Shining out North

“We live mindfully by harvesting evocative scenes to pay attention to including the mountains and oceans, flowers and trees, love and friendship, music and literature, art and poetry.”

Had the chance to visit  water on Saturday, picked up some rocks, basked in sunshine, and enjoyed the wind. I was also entertained by some of the things around me.
The gentleman, below, walking with his dog reminded me of one of our favorite Tundra comics. "Trolling for eagles' Thankfully, carnage was not a part of the viewing this day!!!

It really was nice out. A bit of sunshine, warm partly cloudy day, and a log to sit on for a brief span of time. (note: this person has a LOT of silver in her strands.....Age is creeping in slowly, but completely!)
After 8 pm, I went out on the lake. There are a great many young mallards hanging around, they were not all from the babies in earlier posts. The majority of those ducklings were taken out by the food chain (and the neighbor dog). These have been hanging around for the last 3 or 4 days. Probably gearing up for the long flight south-

Mum's house from the lily pad nursery. With fall here and all the babies gone and or grown, I feel more able to float in this area.
The lake has risen!!! There are still several feet to go, but it is lovely to have water in the lake again. It is also VERY nice to have this 'dock' contraption. I need one more pallet and perhaps one more tire. Next week, when Jon's here, we may work on that.
